Edinburgh's Christmas Shes Gott It! successfully tendered to produce and manage Edinburgh's Christmas for a 5 year period and bring to it, a high level of commitment "to get it right."
The event producers achieve this by attention to detail, excellent client liaison and introducing control measures with on-site partners. Edinburgh's Christmas is a complex festival to produce as there are many competing interests within the festival, however Shes Gott It! manage the inherent tensions that can occur by listening to and giving a voice to other event producers and then creating action plans to solve issues.

Working with Nickie and her team has been a real and unexpected bonus during a critical time in terms of works within the city. Nickie produced a series of animations and creative solutions which we provided as part of the City wide Edinburgh Sparkles campaign to attract shoppers back in to the city centre. These included the animated polar bear, the acrobats tumbelina and coloured fountains accompanied by a string quartet. The latter of these was so well received by the retailers that they kept stores nearby open later.
In addition Shes Gott it! delivered the spectacular Art Car parade and again were accommodating in the extreme as this passed through live works in the citys main street.
On a personal level it has been a great pleasure to work as part of a team with Nickie and I am looking forward to exploring other creative options in the future as to how we deliver essential works whilst supporting the needs of the retailers, hotels, churches and restaurants within the centre.

The event was technically and logistically well delivered by Shes Gott It! The bridge opening is a prime example of a private sector business working with a local authority to deliver a local project: Shes Gott It! had a good understanding of local authority politics to deliver the project.
